“Movement” Movement Explorations

Roger leads an exploration of Milton’s “half the effort”, the orderly recruitment of muscle fibers, force transmission through fascial connections, modifying central pattern generators (the neural control of rhythmical movement such as breathing and walking), muscle activation as a soft matter phase change (from more liquid to more solid), feeling ourselves as one muscle with 600 million muscle fibers, and the felt sense of closed kinematic chains which are linkages in the body that minimize effort in movement. Length 44 minutes.
