Exploring the Bridge Between Science and Trager®

Tragerology convenes a vibrant community to assist you in understanding, and speaking about, somatic principles and practices, including Trager, through the lens of science. Topics are applicable to all Somatic Movement Therapies and Somatic Movement Education modalities. Learning is not only about gaining knowledge, but applying knowledge in a direct way. You will have time for integration through movement, and your understanding will be transformed. Tragerology supports the process of changing underlying patterns, deepening the understanding of your body, and the ripening of your movement expertise.

The larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder.

Benefits of Joining Membership

New Information

You'll be exposed to timely topics including biotensegrity, fascial balance, the 'ceptions, and other relevant scientific information related to somatic principles, practices, processes and outcomes. Milton Trager's brilliance revealed by science!

Community

You will be part of a vibrant group of colleagues in somatic fields who are invested in learning, providing inspiration and reinforcement for you to integrate what you learn.

Integration with Movement

Learning about science is one thing, and feeling it in your body with movement is extraordinary! Every lesson includes movement exploration so that concepts sink in a bit deeper.

Confidence in Speaking

You will be able to speak about your work with specific and updated language conveying the scientific underpinnings of somatic practices. Imagine the ripples moving out into the world to let people know the power of your work!

Additional Resources

You will have access to applicable videos, readings, and  suggestions for continued movement explorations for self-paced learning.

Insights

By keeping a journal of your discoveries, insights, questions, and aha moments, you will have accountability and be able to track your progress. There are ample opportunities to share with others in the community.

Share Insights and Curiosities

Each month there is an hour of sharing insights and curiosities, giving you time to ask questions and share how you are applying what you are learning. This is a great opportunity to learn from the community of colleagues.

Move with new awareness

When you take what you learn into curiosity in movement explorations, you will be able to recall concepts easier, and be able to share with your clients and students. By expanding your personal somatic movement practice, you develop yourself more deeply and broadly.

Access to recordings

I am loving how you are putting all of this information into a Trager context.  It is very inspiring, especially for my Mentastics practice and teaching.

The way you have presented the material links our Trager language & principles to what is now in science.  I think it's brilliant and we need it for inspiration and to be on par with other modalities. What is so cool about you teaching it, as opposed to the scientist, is that you know the Trager principles and can translate it, which you are doing beautifully.

You are really on top of the latest research that relates to our work.  Milton would be so proud!

You brought forward a detail about the parasympathetic nervous system (the ventral dorsal separation) that had not been mentioned in my years at University. It was refreshing to hear about the nervous system in a way that is relevant to my well being. Your approach to anatomy and physiology brings meaning to intimate information about the hidden body/mind.

Thank you for sharing your approach to life with me. It is a source of centering.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the classes. The anatomy review was spot on, and more than I have ever learned in a class within the Trager community. It was nice to have the language available in the PowerPoint, and to have everything walked through.

Great teaching collaboration between the two of you!

I am so glad that I could be in the session among all these remarkable people. I wanted to just listen and feel Roger T's presence. His words were poetry in movement, and his moving as he spoke was magnificent.

Eileen was a crystal clear presenter. I loved her message - how to learn the neural pathways to digest and rest.

Topics in Science related to somatic principles, practices, outcomes

Presence, touch and movement are our "tools" in somatics, allowing our clients to rediscover wholeness. Our work can be even more potent when we have more understanding from an anatomical, physiological and biotensegral perspective.  Each month will have its own topic to explore ... biotensegrity as the underlying framework for understanding our body, fascial fluidity, pause, recall, pleasure, play, neuroception, interoception, proprioception to name a few. You will benefit the most with consistent engagement in learning.
